RAINBOW
DIVISION VETERANS AUXILIARY
At the
Annual Reunion in Los Angeles in 1932, the women of the Rainbow
approved the formation of a national Auxiliary. After WW II ended,
the WW I women were still the mainstay of the Auxiliary and they
welcomed the wives of WW II Veterans. State chapters, both Association
and Auxiliary, organized by WW I veterans and wives, have been augmented
by the addition of WW II unit chapters and regional chapters.
The members of the National Auxiliary voted in the
Annual Auxiliary Business meeting held during the annual reunion
in Memphis, July 2004, to publish one National Auxiliary BULLETIN
at the beginning of the 2004/2005 Rainbow year. This communication
will be supplemented by an "Auxiliary" news offering in
subsequent issues of the RDV Memorial Foundation Rainbow Reveille,
beginning with the November issue.
The one issue of the BULLETIN will contain annual reunion
officers' reports, the President's Message, Past President's Message,
and communications from Chapter Secretaries. The length of the BULLETIN
was determined to be three and one half pages which would be a double
sized sheet.
