The 42nd Rainbow Division Veterans Association
("Memorial Foundation" since July 2003) has been a sponsor
of the National Veterans Day in Birmingham since 1947. Rainbow Division
veterans and family members have attended this event throughout
the years, and each year there have been two honored guests seated
at the head tables, the President of the Association and the President
of the National Auxiliary. This tradition is being continued by
WWII veterans, and family members of WWI and WWII Rainbow veterans
are encouraged to attend with the Rainbow group.
SCHEDULE OF 42ND RAINBOW DIVISION VETERANS AND FAMILIES AND
FRIENDS
Monday November 9: Arrivals and BBQ dinner at the Hospitality
Room 7:00 P.M.
Tuesday November 10: Bus to Nikki's West for breakfast,
and tour, ending at the 21st Street Viaduct, 167th (Alabama) Regiment
WWI memorial, for wreath laying ceremony.
Board of Trustees Meeting afternoon (time to be determined).
Tuesday evening 5:30 P.M. Distinguished Guests Reception
Boutwell Auditorium; 7:00 P.M. National Veterans Award Dinner
(formal).
Wednesday, November 11: 9:00 A.M. Church Service at the
Cathedral Church of the Advent, 9:00 A.M. World Peace Luncheon,
Boutwell Auditorium, followed by the Parade.
Thursday, November 12: Departures.

Make your hotel reservations directly with the hotel and ask
for the rooms reserved for the Rainbow Division Veterans. Reservations
must be made by November 1 to get the special rate. The rate applies
to two days before and two days after.
REGISTRATION FEE: For our Rainbow Division Memorial Foundation
veterans and families and friends the Sheraton Hotel "Rainbow
Veterans" room rate is $86 + tax per night for one room. The
separate Rainbow registration fee is $65 per person: (includes Monday
November 10: Bus for two days; dinner Boutwell Auditorium; Tuesday
November 11 lunch Boutwell Auditorium.) Send $65 per person to:
